Why Connection?
When Jesus was asked which commandment is most important in Mark 12, He replied with two commands that work in unison. The first, He said, is to love God and the second is to love others.
We see another connection in Matthew 28 when Jesus tells His followers to teach other people about Him.
So, at Connection, we say it like this: We connect with God, we connect with God's people, and we connect people to God.
Our Mission
We exist to connect people in the Columbus area to Jesus Christ by communicating Biblical truth in a way that brings faith to life.
We do this by communicating God’s Word in a way they can understand it and apply it to everyday life.
We demonstrate our faith as disciples (students of Jesus) by submitting to His will as expressed in scripture and committing to His mission to seek and save the lost.
Core Values
Core values bring clarity to the things that matter most at Connection. They guide us in achieving our mission, as well as our everyday ministry plans. In short, they keep us focused on the unique call God has given us as a church.
Connect
We strive to connect people with God, God’s Word, and God’s People. We believe one of the first steps in this process is engaging in a large church setting. In this setting individuals will join others and hear leaders share from God’s Word in a way they can understand and apply.
Grow
We desire for each participant to grow deeper in their knowledge of God’s Word to draw closer to God, and do life in community with like minded people. We believe that this can be done best through small group opportunities.
Love
We have a natural desire to be loved. We will connect and grow to be loved. But there’s more to love. When we understand how much God loves us it will become a catalyst in our lives to love other people in a way that is selfless and sacrificial.
